Andrea Risberg was born in The Bronx, New York, and moved to Miami at the age of 6. She and her twin sister are the eldest of five children. She enjoyed helping with her younger siblings and knew from an early age she wanted to work in pediatrics.
Mrs. Risberg graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Florida, Gainesville, in 1988, with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, receiving the Florence Nightingale award for excellence. She worked for the next ten years at Miami Children's Hospital, Miami, FL, in oncology and bone marrow transplantation. She received her Master of Science degree in 1998, from Florida International University, Miami, graduating at the top of her class. She worked at a primary care pediatric practice until moving to Brevard in 2001. She has been with Pediatrics in Brevard since 2003.
Mrs. Risberg is happily married with two sons. She enjoys cooking, gardening, swimming, kayaking, traveling, playing guitar and piano, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
