Aniela Jan Borowski MD
Dr. Jan Borowski attended the University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ, graduating with a chemistry degree, earning the University's prestigious Robie Medal as outstanding woman graduate. Three years later she received her medical degree from the University of Arizona and began her residency at the Phoenix Hospital Affiliated Pediatric Program, Phoenix, AZ. She was commissioned as an officer in the United States Public Health Service and served as resident physician at the Phoenix Indian Hospital. Subsequently, she joined the teaching staff of the Phoenix Hospital Affiliated Pediatric Residency Program at Maricopa County Hospital, also in Phoenix, and served as director of the Pediatric Emergency Room and Resident Continuity Clinics. Also serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Arizona, Dr. Borowski worked as a consultant for the Child Abuse Team in Arizona.
When the opportunity was presented for her husband to become a part of the Space Program in Brevard County, Dr. Borowski and her family moved to Florida where she joined Pediatrics in Brevard. In addition to practicing pediatric medicine full time at Pediatrics in Brevard, Dr. Borowski has served as the director of the Brevard County Child Abuse Team, and presently serves on the board of PALS (Providing Autism Links and Support) and a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Central Florida Medical School.
She and her husband are the parents of two grown children; they enjoy traveling, gardening and serving with international medical missions. After 24 years with Pediatrics in Brevard, she believes her greatest compliments are when her prior patients entrust the care of their children to her.
